Piedmont Physicians at Tate Community Clinic Welcomes New Physician

Tate, Ga. (Nov. 05, 2009) – Piedmont Physician at Tate Community Clinic is proud to welcome Kathirae Severson, D.O., to its full-time medical staff effective Monday, Nov. 2.  Dr. Severson has more than 10 years of medical experience. 

Dr. Severson earned her bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from the University of Georgia, followed by a doctorate in philosophy and cardiovascular pharmacology. She then attended Kansas City University for medicine and biotechnology, and completed her internal medicine internship and residency at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Ga.

Prior to joining Piedmont Physicians Group, Dr. Severson held a private internal medicine practice in Demorest, Ga.  

“Dr. Severson has a strong medical background, and we look forward to bringing her talents to the Tate community,” said Berney Crane, CEO of Piedmont Medical Care Corporation, the administrative parent corporation of the Piedmont Physicians Group.  “She will continue to provide excellent care to our patients.”

Dr.  Severson accepts most major insurance plans and is available for immediate appointments.  The office is located at 89 Clinic Road, Tate, GA 30177.
