ATLANTA, Ga. (Jan. 05, 2009) - Piedmont Medical Care Corporation (PMCC), a member of Piedmont Healthcare and the administrative parent corporation of the Piedmont Physicians Group, recently won the NextGen Best Practice Award in the Large Practice category. The award is given to practices based on their utilization of NextGen electronic medical records (NextGen® EMR) and enterprise practice management solutions (NextGen® EPM) to improve care and decrease costs.
“We are extremely honored to receive this recognition among such an elite group,” said Berney Crane, CEO of Piedmont Medical Care Corporation. “We constantly strive to provide world-class care by using the most advanced technology available, and the NextGen solutions help us to continuously and efficiently deliver the highest quality of services to our patients.”
Piedmont Medical Care Corporation has used NextGen services since 2001, which has helped to increase the number of physicians and services available. PMCC has 165 physicians practicing primary care and various subspecialties in 40 locations.
The Best Practice Awards was conceived to honor those NextGen Healthcare clients who have demonstrated exemplary use of the NextGen ambulatory solutions suite. The award recipients were recognized during a ceremony at the NextGen Healthcare Users’ Group Meeting at The Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center in Nashville, Tenn. The applications were judged by NextGen Healthcare staff and third-party consultants, and then voted on by NextGen clients to determine the winners in their respective size classes.
